A Jingle Player and Soundboard for Radio and Podcasts
Radio hosts and podcasters have always leaned on cart machines and instant replay units for the same handful of sounds: the show open, the station ID, the laugh, the sting, the bed under the intro. Instant Play 2500 puts those on a keyboard, with nothing to install.
Organize by show, not by file
Build one bank per show or per segment, and keep the same slot for the same job every week. After a few episodes your fingers know where things are.
| Keys | Suggested use |
|---|---|
| 1 to 0 | Show open, close, and station or podcast IDs |
| Q to P | Jingles and segment stingers |
| A to ; | Drops, sound effects, and reactions |
| Z to / | Music beds |
That layout is a suggestion. Each slot's key is printed beneath its button, so you can arrange to taste.
Beds, stingers, and transitions
Music beds that loop
With Premium, trim a bed in the Sound Editor so it starts and stops where you want, then turn on LOOP. The bed repeats between your start and stop points until you stop it, so a 30-second bed can run for a whole segment.
Bed to stinger with a crossfade
Right-click a slot to crossfade: the playing sound fades out as the new one fades in over about half a second. Left-click plays a drop on top without disturbing the bed, which is the usual live-assist pattern.
Stop what you need
Space stops the most recent sound and Esc stops everything. The MASTER fader sets overall level.
Getting it into your broadcast or recording
Instant Play 2500 plays through the output your computer is using. To feed it to a mixer, route that output into a channel on your board. To record or stream, capture your computer's audio with whatever mixing, recording, or streaming software you already use.
What it doesn't do
- No automatic ducking of beds under a microphone.
- No separate headphone cue output or pre-listen.
- No scheduling, playlist automation, or as-played logging.
- No built-in streaming or encoder. It is a player, not a broadcast suite.
Free for small setups
The free version includes Bank 01, slots 01-10, which covers a typical podcast: open, close, a few stingers, and a couple of reactions. Premium adds all 50 banks, the transport controls, the sound editor, and the sound library when your show outgrows ten slots. Log in to keep your sounds and sessions between visits.
